Many people ask me how or why I ended up working with Chief Insurance Solutions LLC. My answer is the following: When I first got into the insurance industry, I worked for your average, local brokerage. They claimed that their competitive edge was that they worked on all lines of insurance, a ‘one-stop-shop experience.’ At first glance, I agreed that this was advantageous to business owners, as they could acquire all lines of insurance through one broker. I soon learned otherwise. “It’s better to do one thing well, than ten things poorly” - Heather Hart This brokerage offered more than ten lines of insurance, and did all of them poorly. In the meantime, I was starting to work with new clients, and I ended up dealing with a lot of workers’ compensation insurance inquiries. The more I worked there, the more I learned how much of a challenge and hassle workers’ compensation insurance was for employers. The more those employers told me about their problems with workers’ compensation, the more I researched how to solve them. As I developed a wealth of information and tools, I soon became the brokerages workers’ compensation expert and I was able to help employers resolve their issues and make the most of their coverage.
After some reflection on the growth I had undergone, I realized that Heather Hart’s quote is absolutely right. My fellow brokers were in the practice of issuing quotes and binding polices. They lacked the appropriate knowledge or interest in helping their clients, which was reflected in the brokerages quick turnover rate. I felt a desire to do things differently; I felt a desire and responsibility as an insurance broker to offer the informed guidance my clients deserved. It was then that I ran across Chief Insurance Solutions LLC, a company that solely focused and specialized on workers’ compensation insurance, allowing its’ brokers to become experts in that field and offer true assistance. That assistance derives from a deep understanding of the statutory regulations, quoting procedures, workers’ compensation insurance carriers and their appetites, industry-specific operational needs, human resources functions and involvement, the audit process, experience modification impacts, available premium discounts, workplace safety provisions and programs, common workers’ compensation related issues, and more. For these reasons and more, I am proud to work with my brokerage, Chief Insurance Solutions LLC, where I can genuinely and effectively support, educate, assist, and save employers from the cost and hassles of workers’ compensation insurance.
